How we work

Latitude.Team live to find interesting stories, content, and visual narratives. We are not a marketing agency – we are your film production partner. We extend your marketing arm and go beyond content creation; delivering cinematic, authentic and captivating content for brands, corporates, start-ups, institutions and government – with bold ideas and brave production.

Our production team is experienced in managing projects across different scales – from complex briefs and creative requirements to more low-key productions. We know that all projects have parameters for the level of investment, programme and complexity. As creatives, this is a fundamental framework for us in developing a creative brief and production plan.

As your production partner, you can work as closely with us as your time and vision allows - but equally you can trust that anything you leave in our hands will be dealt with diligently and professionally to deliver beyond your expectations. We take your direction to develop a plan for how we collaborate. Below are some fundamental considerations that shape how we work with you – and determine how we create smarts around your investment in our services:

01. Briefing & Creative Direction

Different to most video production agencies, we work with you collaboratively, plugging into your marketing or project teams to help refine your brief and hone a unique creative direction. Often our clients come to us with a strong idea of how video content can contribute to their overall marketing strategy, a strategic narrative or high- level brief that they want to realise through film. We work with you to develop the creative direction of the production, and ensure the end result will meet your campaign needs.

Some projects require a little more – a partnership between us to unpack your brand’s key messages, workshops to generate narratives and develop a storyboard that translates this video. All projects need a strong guiding light to help point us in the direction of the interesting stories, and keep us on track as we tell the story.

02. Talent Planning & Casting

Working with professional on-screen talent or choosing to cast your organisation's talent in-house impacts the style of film we produce – not the quality. We work with you to develop an approach to managing the talent that will feature in your production or will create a brief with you to source, cast and plan your talent selection to bring your content to life.

We listen diligently and with empathy when working with your workforce or community on set – we know that when the talent we are working with is comfortable and feels safe to express their story, opinion or personality is when we capture the real on-screen magic for our clients.

03. Storyboarding & Scripting

To help manage a mutual understanding of the film’s creative direction, tone and execution, we develop a concept storyboard or treatment, articulating how the key stories will play out across the film, and define the locations, scene planning, talent, and messaging. This part of the process is important to inform the pre-production planning, location scheduling and equipment approach.

04. Pre-Production Planning

Before we jump on set, our creative and production teams put our heads together to understand the pragmatics to bring the film together. This involves managing the logistics of capturing each scene on location, undertaking site recce’s and formulating a plan to manage the unique qualities of each site. We also consider the production requirements and equipment we need to realise each scene, right down to the lens we use on each camera.

05. Production

The core of our business - we will provide the best film professionals to execute our production together. You can be confident that everything from crew engagement to lens selection and on-set talent direction will be coordinated all with Latitude.teams’ values and your overarching goals front of mind.

Whether you prefer to be hands-on, leave the production to us, our team will work with you to take care of all of the production requirements of your project.

06. Music Selection & Licencing

Beyond the visual form of film content, music selection plays a huge role in how audiences interpret and process the story. Depending on your brief and the level of investment in your production, our team will dive through libraries of licensed music to find audio that supports the concept, or work with artists to commission original music or audio tracks to complement the narrative. Part of working with integrity in our business means working with local artists, and ensuring that all additional creative material is licenced and credited to the artist.

07. Social Media Cutdowns

We help you to extract the most from your investment by creating video content for the channels you work with. Short cut downs for social media, and landscape aspects for screening at events and on desktop devices; we consider the user experience and design your deliverables to your needs.

We work with you to understand the platforms you will be distributing your video assets on, and empower you to use film and storytelling as a powerful tool for change.

08. Mastering

The culmination of our work together, Mastering ensures content is ready for public viewing.

After carefully integrating your brand assets, we fine-tune all of the technical parameters - including colour, sound, and music. This process guarantees your vision translates seamlessly across various devices and platforms, supplying you with tailored files, ready for a smooth launch.
